Georgia Goal Diggers is a Girls Elite travel sports club that is second to none in structured coaching with our main focuses on player development, team building, and honoring the game of lacrosse.
We start by building a fundamentally sound base, teaching the philosophies and understanding the importance of playing as one, competitive unit. We start here because it is the foundation of any great college lacrosse team and a skill that is vitally important for all youth and high school athletes to learn.
A DREAM written down with a date becomes a GOAL. A goal broken down into steps becomes a PLAN. A plan backed by ACTION becomes REALITY.
Head lacrosse coach and founder of Georgia Goal Diggers is Mark Casertano, Division 1 collegiate lacrosse athlete with fourteen years of coaching experience. A four-year starter, co-captain for three years and named First Team All ECAC Defense at Sacred Heart University, Mark knows first hand what it takes to play at the top of his game.
He began sharing his passion for lacrosse as a top-tier coach in 2006, when he started coaching boys’ lacrosse. In 2013, after it was clear that his daughter shared the same passion, he began coaching women’s lacrosse and hasn’t looked back.
Mark’s coaching philosophy is: Teamwork and trust lead to success. He takes his position as head coach very seriously and is dedicated and passionate about creating a successful, cohesive team. The reason he Coaches is not only to have a successful player on the field but also to have a successful player off the field.
His greatest motivator as a coach is to gain the trust and respect of his players, treating each individual with respect, meeting them where they are and inspiring them to reach their potential. They work hard together on the field, they make sacrifices together and they play together with trust in each other.
